Our assessment

We consider authenticity, condition, demand, likely value and the most suitable auction format.

1. Appraisal

We review the information provided and advise whether the item is suitable for auction. An estimate is a market opinion, not a guaranteed selling price.

2. Consignment

If you decide to proceed, the written consignment agreement records the agreed reserve where applicable, seller’s commission, other charges, insurance arrangements and the proposed sale.

3. Cataloguing and marketing

Accepted objects are photographed, catalogued and presented to relevant buyers through the auction catalogue and selected marketing channels.

4. Sale and settlement

After the auction, sellers receive a statement showing the result and agreed deductions. Payment timing is governed by the consignment agreement and cleared buyer funds.
