A plain-language summary of the information we may collect, why we use it and the choices available to you.

1. Information we collect

We may collect contact details and information you choose to provide when asking about an auction, requesting a valuation, consigning property, registering interest or completing a transaction. This may include photographs, object histories, identification or payment-related records where reasonably required.

2. Why we use it

We use information to respond to enquiries, assess and catalogue property, administer auctions, verify transactions, arrange payment or collection, keep appropriate business records and meet legal obligations. We aim to collect only information reasonably needed for those purposes.

3. Who may receive it

Information may be provided to service providers involved in operating an auction, including bidding, payment, delivery, professional advice, technology and recordkeeping providers. We do not sell personal information. A third-party bidding platform has its own privacy policy.

4. Website data

Basic technical information may be processed to operate and secure the website. If optional analytics, marketing cookies or mailing-list tools are introduced, this policy and any consent controls will be updated before use.

5. Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access. Information is retained only as long as reasonably required for the purpose collected, business records or applicable law.

6. Access, correction and marketing choices

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction or ask to stop receiving direct marketing. Some records may need to be retained for legal or transaction purposes.

7. Contact

Privacy enquiries or complaints may be sent to info@sunnyauction.com.au. Where the Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy Principles apply, we will handle personal information consistently with those requirements.
